The LNG Era is a Must, Not an Option
Will the Super-Cycle Revisit the Shipbuilding Industry?
Wood Mackenzie, a global energy consulting firm from the UK, forecasts global LNG supply will grow
by 7% in 2020 compared to the previous year.
Clarksons Shipping projects total orders of 500 LNG carriers to be commissioned until 2027, and Poten and Partners, US-based ship brokerage firm expects orders for LNG propulsion vessels will amount to 2,500 to 3,000 for the next ten years, until 2029. Some predict that over 50% of those 3,000 orders will be commissioned in Korea.
To this end, the Korean Government is readily making plans to take the lead in the global LNG bunkering
market, by increasing the level of LNG bunkering supply from 700,000 tons in 2022 to 1.3 million
tons in 2030.
In the same vein, LNG KOREA 2020 will be held as a special exhibition for this huge market. We hope
you will join us in our quest for future prosperity, as we cordially invite you to CECO in South Gyeongsang Province.
